I feel that it’s extremely important to set goals in both your personal and business lives because you need to know where you’re heading each month. The goals you set are like a roadmap to a successful month and accomplishing each goal is a positive stop along the road to a productive month. I decided to start sharing my monthly goals because everyone needs accountability and this is my way of being accountable. At the end of the month, I will revisit the goals that I set and I will update on the status of my goals and how my month went as a whole. Let’s get started with the goals!
August Monthly Goals
Deep clean 3 rooms: Ideally I would like to deep clean the entire house this month but between my kids, getting them ready for school, my businesses, my blogs, and just life; I don’t think I’m going to be able to get the entire house deep cleaned. As long as I’m taking small steps to get my house clean, I can feel like I’ve accomplished something.
Purchase all of the kids’ school supplies: As early as I start school supply shopping, I’m usually the one who’s running to Walmart last minute the day before school starts to finish all of the school supply shopping. (Hello procrastination!) This month my goal is to finish all of the school supply shopping before the end of August so I don’t have to deal with having to rip a pink plastic folder out of the hands of an innocent woman in the school supply section. (Don’t pretend you haven’t done that!)
Have more family nights with my kids: My girls and I used to watch TV together every night, we used to play games more than once a week and we used to have movie nights occasionally. Now that my oldest is 11 years old, all she wants to do is hang out in her room, text her friends, talk on the phone with her friends, etc… I know she’s a pre-teen but I wish she cared more about family night like she used to when she was younger. My goal for this month is to get both of my kids interested in family night again. This may include taking personal electronics away for a few hours and possibly bribery to accomplish, but I think I can do it.
Schedule my hair appointment & Dye hair: I wrote about this in my 8 Things I’m Putting Off post but this month I’m motivated to finally dye my hair to light brown and schedule my Keratin treatments. I’m sick of my hair looking like a poodle that hasn’t gone to the groomers in a few years. It’s time to tackle the unmanageable hair!
Start working on my e-courses: I really need to get to further planning the e-courses that I am going to be offering through my coaching business. I want to build a course library within the next few months and I need to get more focused on planning and creating the e-courses that I want to offer.
Edit my packages and pricing: Also regarding my coaching business, I need to get a jump on editing my packages and pricing. I’m revamping my pricing model and though I have everything written out, I have yet to add them to my page. I’ll definitely get this done this month!
So those are my goals for the month of August 2017! We will see, in a month, if I accomplished any, some or all of my goals and how productive and motivated I actually am! These are goals that I really need to accomplish this month, even though I have a packed schedule with all that I have to do.
What is one of your most important goals this month?
